AVOLT is a Swedish design studio founded in 2018 by Johan Runströmer and Viktor Lundberg. The company designs, develops, and markets innovative products that power devices in homes, offices, retail environments, and public spaces. It remains true to minimalist Scandinavian design, characterized by clean lines and timeless shapes. Inspired by Bruno Munari's trilogy "Square Circle Triangle," the design philosophy of Avolt is a tribute to simple geometric shapes that have proven themselves for centuries.

With the aim of combining functionality and aesthetics, Avolt has made it its mission to set a new standard for electronics in everyday life. This is also reflected in the award-winning product "Square 1," a minimalist power socket cube that has been awarded multiple times with the "Red Dot Award" and the "Swedish Design Prize." At BACKYARD, we offer two variants of the elegant Square collection: The "Square 1" variant is a multi-socket with extension cord, available in white, green, blue, black, and beige. The "Square 2" variant, on the other hand, is a wall socket extension available in black, gray, blue, and green. Both variants are characterized by their clear aesthetics and functional design and fit perfectly into living and working spaces.

HIGH-QUALITY AND ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY SOCKET SOLUTIONS

The products of Avolt are designed and developed in Sweden and manufactured in China according to strict quality standards. The "Square 1," for example, is made of 20% recycled plastic and is packaged in an environmentally friendly way.
The products of Avolt are not only functional but also safe. The socket cubes are delivered with the Type F standard, which is used in almost all European countries – except for the United Kingdom and Switzerland. They are also certified with CE, S-Mark, and ROHS, guaranteeing compliance with important safety and environmental standards.
