Founded in 1996 by former anthropology student Emma François, the label Sessun is dedicated to creating timeless and authentic women's fashion. Inspired by her trip to Guatemala and contact with artisans, Sessun combines a love for beautiful materials with delicate, playful silhouettes. The brand tells the story of confident women with a creative and sensitive spirit, expressed in exciting material combinations and vibrant color palettes.

SESSUN AT BACKYARD

In our Sessun range at BACKYARD, you will find a well-curated selection of women's tops, starting with shirts and tops, from timeless shirts and blouses, to casual short and long-sleeved T-shirts, to cozy cardigans and knit sweaters and sweatshirt pullovers, complemented by winter jackets and coats. 
The colors range from classic black, blue, and gray to warm brown tones and vibrant accents in orange and red.
Many of the tops are solid-colored, while others are adorned with patterns that give your look that certain something. With their mostly loose fit, Sessun's clothing offers not only comfort but also a trend-conscious silhouette.
The range is complemented by pants, including both jeans and corduroy pants, various fashionable pants as well as skirts that can be perfectly combined with Sessun tops. 
You can complete your outfit with the selection of hats (beanies), scarves, and gloves, as well as belts from Sessun, which are not only practical companions for everyday life but also complete your look.
64% of the materials used by Sessun are from natural sources, while 94% are free from synthetic fibers. The brand prefers materials that have a low impact on the environment and uses recycled alternative fibers where possible.
Sessun's products are manufactured in countries such as Tunisia, Morocco, Bulgaria, France, Portugal, and China. The label always ensures transparent supply chains and fair working conditions.

MATERIALS OF NATURAL ORIGIN 

Sessun works with the REACH regulation and the OEKO-TEX® standard to ensure that their products are free from harmful chemicals and meet the highest possible environmental standards.
In doing so, Sessun primarily relies on the use of materials of natural origin, such as cotton, linen, or wool, which are convincing due to their long durability and exceptional quality. Additionally, they are renewable resources.
The label places great importance on sustainability and social responsibility overall.
